Sam Kim Wine Orbit- 94/100 points 5 stars
A magnificently expressed Cabernet; the intensely aromatic bouquet shows cassis, blueberry compote, violet, cigar and hazelnut characters. The palate is concentrated and impressively weighted, delivering rich fruit intensity and silky mouthfeel, wonderfully framed by supple tannins. The wine offers terrific fruit purity and power with fabulous drinkability. At its best: 2019 to 2027. Organic & Biodynamic.
The Cabernet Sauvignon vine is a result of Cabernet Franc vines being crossed with Sauvignon Blanc vines centuries ago. Our style is a blend of old and new world winemaking, matching the powerful and vibrant ripe fruit characters of Margaret River with French oak maturation.
Margaret River is one of the most geographically isolated wine regions in the world, established on the research of two scientists, Professor Harry Olmo and Dr John Gladstones in the 1960s. The area has a high winter rainfall, a dry, warm summer and few instances of frosts and hail. Our vines are biodynamically grown in unique soils of grey loam on a subsoil of clay, granite and gneissic rock.
