94 points/5 stars. Sam Kim-Wine Orbit.
"Richly fruited and perfumed, the fabulously expressed bouquet shows Black Doris plum, blackberry, vanilla and hazelnut characters with a gorgeous floral overtone. The palate delivers excellent weight and fruit intensity together with fleshy texture and silky tannins, making it immensely appealing. At its best: now to 2029. " Sam Kim, Wine Judge

Deepish red/purple colour, with a savoury toasty-nutty bouquet. The palate is sweetly-fruited and rich, berries galore, the palate soft and fruity with a glossy sheen of fine tannins. A nice wine and very pleasant early drinking.
Produced by some of Australia's most famous and awarded winemakers for Epic Negociants, this is quintessential Barossa Shiraz. The Barossa was discovered and named (including the clerical error when registering the name) by Colonel Light in 1839 after the ‘Battle of Barrosa’, a battle Light had fought in. Alluvial fans are the clay, sand and gravel subsoils of the Barossa Valley flats. We select parcels of fruit from this area to produce this contemporary Australian Shiraz with vibrant fruit, structure, poise and complexity.
